Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been won on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his initial title for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the tournament final.
The Russian, a former world number one, has endured a torrid period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - caused him falling of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-time coach Gilles Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
This represents his first title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after March of that year.
Success also means Medvedev has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 distinct events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a competition with my children at once, so to win a title is really nice," commented ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the first title I got when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, including in the German tournament in the past months.
His retrieving strategy and regular outbursts on the playing surface had prompted commentators to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was concluded.
But the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an better service.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the final five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors swapped break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden professional title, seized the initiative to force a final set.
Moutet saved four initial chances in a tight deciding set before Medvedev won the break to 15 to close out the victory.
Suitably, he clinched the title with a point at the net area, with his opponent incapable to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
